Online course "Equal Opportunities in Lithuania"
The course is designed for people who have recently moved to Lithuania, as well as Lithuanian residents who want to learn about equal opportunities. The training will help participants to better understand their rights in the area of equal opportunities, recognize inappropriate behavior, and learn where to seek support if they encounter discrimination.
During the training, participants are going to:
- Learn the key concepts, different forms of discrimination, and what is not considered discrimination under Lithuanian law.
- Get acquainted with the main Lithuanian legal acts ensuring equal opportunities and understand how they can be used to protect against discrimination.
- Improve ability to identify discriminative situations in everyday life and learn about the most common contexts in which newcomers in Lithuania experience inappropriate behaviour and inequality.
- Receive information about support services available in case of discrimination and inappropriate behaviour.
- Complete practical tasks to help apply the knowledge gained during the course.
Training duration: 1 hour.
Format: remote, self-study learning.
Target group: people who moved to Lithuania from abroad, especially those arriving from countries outside the EU and the European Economic Area, as well as Lithuanian residents who want to learn about equal opportunities.
